Types of Attributes

Lexer Attribute types vary, and are used differently depending on your use case. In some instances, you’ll want to find all Identities within a certain range of values, others you might want to choose from a specific category. Whatever you’re searching for, there’s an Attribute tailored to your needs. If you can’t find what you’re looking for, reach out to Lexer Support.

Flag Attribute

Choosing this Attributes deems it to be true that the Identities in your audience have this value. For example - Customer = is a customer with your brand, or Has an account on Twitter = what it says on the tin.

Range Attribute

Select a value between your minimum and maximum range. For example - Total spend = set a range between two figures to view the Identities that have had a total spend within it.

Date range Attribute

Select a date range that is either between two dates; within a historical number of days/months/years; within a number of days/weeks/months/years in the future; or since a date in the past, to the present day.

Free text Attribute

Enter text in the field provided to locate specific data. For example - Contact us form = enter the link to one of your forms/surveys to find Identities that have replied to it.

Tip: You can use a free text attribute to look for things like zip codes. When looking for a zip code, use a ? trailing wildcard to search for multiple zips. For example, if you wanted to look for all customers in Los Angeles, you could enter 902?? to find them all, rather than having to enter them individually. You can also look for multiple values by separating each with an OR - for example 20?? OR 30??

Multi-value Attribute

Select options from the dropdown menu, choosing one, or multiple criteria that Identities in your audience must have. For example - Channel preferences = select all preferred contact methods from the menu.
