Connect your Shopify account with Lexer

Shopify is a complete commerce platform that lets you start, grow, and manage a business, all on a single platform! Using Shopify you're able to unify all your commerce data to build and customize an online store across multiple channels, from social media to online marketplaces.

In this article, we'll walk you through how to connect your Shopify account with Lexer. Doing so allows Lexer to import your customers from Shopify as enriched Profiles, and create Shopify attributes that can be used for customer segmentation and analysis.

How do I integrate my account?

There are now two options to integrate your Shopify account with Lexer. We'll run through both in this article. You have the option to integrate using the Shopify app, or through the hub itself.
We’ll start with integration via the Shopify app as it’s a bit quicker and easier. If you would like to skip ahead to integration via the hub, click here.

The Lexer App, now on the Shopify app store!

We have released an app to the Shopify App Store that allows you to quickly integrate Lexer with your Shopify account. This is great news for you if you use Shopify, it means your integrations have become even quicker and easier!

Do I have to use the Shopify app store?

No, there will be no change to current integrations. You can also still integrate using the hub if you prefer.

Option 1: Integrate using the app store

1. Open up the Lexer app on the Shopify app store, click here.

2. Click Add app.

3. To grant the necessary permissions, click Install app.
4. Enter your hub login details.

5. Once you have successfully logged into the hub, you will see a pop up. You can then select the hub you would like to connect to the Shopify account, and add all of the groups you would like to have permission to this particular hub.

6. If successful, you will see a prompt, “Shopify connected successfully”. Click, “Got it”, and you are all done!

Option 2: Integrating my account through the hub?

To integrate your Shopify account with Lexer through the hub, navigate to Manage > Integrations in the top navigation bar.

Once this is done, walk through the following steps:

1. Select the Shopify tile.
2. Click Integrate Shopify.
3. Enter your Shopify URL.
4. Finally, click Integrate.

Next, a pop up will appear asking you to enter your Shopify email and password, once you have done so, click Add Integration to save.

Once you've added your Shopify account credentials to the Shopify tile in the Hub, please contact your Success Manager, or Lexer Support ([email protected]) to complete your Shopify set up and configuration.
