Using the Order Channel Preference attribute
Using the Order Channel Preference attribute is really handy when you want to identify how your customers like to shop. For example, do they prefer in-store or online? Or maybe a mixture of both!
One great example is comparing how your high-value customers like to shop compared to the rest of your customer base.
Navigate to Understand > Compare and make sure the Segments tile is selected.
Then add the All Customers segment to your comparison, along with the high-value segment you'd like to compare against.
Then click Generate Comparison.
Next, search for the Order Channel Preference attribute in the search bar under Include These Attributes.
You can now click into this comparison to see a detailed breakdown of how these two segments index against one another when it comes to order channel preference.
For example, in the screenshot above you can see that the high-value segment over-indexes on online purchases, so you may want to see how you can encourage more of your customers to shop online if that's a trait you see in your high-value customers.
