Connect your ActiveCampaign account

ActiveCampaign is a cloud software platform for customer experience automation. In this article, we'll walk you through integrating your ActiveCampaign account with Lexer, permitting Lexer to import your contacts from ActiveCampaign as enriched profiles as well as create and update contact email lists.

Integrating your ActiveCampaign account with Lexer provides a number of benefits, such as:

  • Importing your contacts as enriched profiles.
  • Sending customer email lists for marketing campaigns.

This integration allows for some flexibility, the output of the integration depends on your available data and what you send through to Lexer. In addition, your attributes could be named in a different way to other clients. If you would like a list of attributes related to this integration, please email your Success Manager.

What attributes are created when integrated with Lexer?

These are the standard attributes Lexer can create when you connect this integration, however, this will depend on the data available and what you're sending through to Lexer. Also note, your attributes may be named differently.
If you have any questions, or would like to discuss any custom options, please reach out to your Success Manager.

How do I integrate my account?

You will need to get your API URL and Key from your ActiveCampaign account. These are found under Settings > Developer. This guide from ActiveCampaign will help you.

  1. Select the ActiveCampaign tile.
  2. Click Integrate ActiveCampaign.
  3. Enter the name of your ActiveCampaign account.
  4. Paste in your Authentication URL.
  5. Paste in your API Key.
  6. Click Save Integration.

Your two accounts are now connected.

The final step
Once you've added your ActiveCampaign account credentials to the ActiveCampaign tile in the Hub, please contact your Success Manager, or Lexer Support on the chat below to complete your ActiveCampaign set up and configuration.

Importing contacts from ActiveCampaign to Lexer

In ActiveCampaign, you only need to:

  • Create the Lists/Segments of customers.

Activating your Segments

When you're ready to send a Segment to ActiveCampaign navigate to Engage > Activate.

  1. Click NEW ACTIVATION.
  2. Pick your ActiveCampaign configuration.
  3. Pick your Segment.
  4. Set your Activation Tag.

The Activation name will just be the date of activation + name of segment.

  1. Check ONGOING ACTIVATION if you want to maintain this Group in ActiveCampaign.
  2. Check the options, and click RUN ACTIVATION.

You're done!

Congratulations, your ActiveCampaign account should now be integrated and activated in Lexer.
