How to use the First Name attribute
The First Name attribute is useful for when you want to search for a customer by name, or address your customers specifically.
For example, you might want to email your top shoppers by spend and refer to them specifically in an email you'd like to send them, for example, thanking them for their loyalty and giving them an exclusive offer.
To do so, navigate to Understand > Segment and then to the PROFILES MUST HAVE ALL OF THESE section of the Segment Builder add one of your high-value customer segments. Hit Search.
Now, move to the right of the screen and under EXPLORE ATTRIBUTES filter by Total Spend. Click into this attribute.
From the screenshot below you can see that out of your high-value customers, just over 200 have a total spend of more than $2,013.
So, to narrow this down to your top customers, clear the Segment Builder and add the Total Spend attribute to the PROFILES MUST HAVE ALL OF THESE section of the builder. Then filter for Greater than or equal to > $2,013. Hit Search.
Again, move to the right of the screen and under EXPLORE ATTRIBUTES filter by Total Spend. Click into this attribute. From the screenshot below you can see that 11 profiles have a total spend of $5,336 or more. These are the customers you want to send your comms to.
To capture them in a segment, head back to the Segment Builder, clear it, and then add the Total Spend attribute to the PROFILES MUST HAVE ALL OF THESE section of the builder. Then filter for Greater than or equal to > $,5336. Hit Search.
To find the names of these 11 profiles, move to the right of the screen and under EXPLORE ATTRIBUTES filter by First Name.
Click into this attribute to get your list.
And to export this list to CSV, click the download icon in the right-hand corner.
You can then send your email to these customers and address them by name.
