Using the Last Order: Product Name attribute
This attribute provides a great identifier if you need to analyze what specific products customers have purchased in their last order. This information can be useful in a number of situations, but a common use case is to identify customers to exclude from an audience that have just purchased a product we are about to promote.
For example, you may want to exclude people that have purchased the Lucia Cross in the last 30 days from a campaign you are about to send out promoting this product. To do this in the Hub, Smart Search is a great tool to use.
Add the Smart Search Product Purchased attribute to your search and then add the following filters:
- Product Name > Lucia Cross
- Order Sequence > In a Specific Order > Last
- Order Date > In the Last > 30 Days
When you hit Search you'll get your segment!
Now that you have a basic audience you can save this by clicking SAVE AS NEW SEGMENT in the bottom left of the Segment Builder. You could then use this audience in Activate to send this to Google Ads and use the audience as an exclusion, or add this as an exclusion to your Activations for your latest campaigns.
